When you do Hoops For Heart you can help other kids kids who have special hearts. Some kids have hearts that don’t work exactly right. In fact, every year about 36,000 kids are born with hearts that aren’t the way they should be (called a congenital heart defects)! These kids all need special treatments from doctors and medicines to get better. And they need your help too!
When you do Hoops For Heart you can raise money to help kids get better. The money you raise will go to the American Heart Association to help pay for science and research to discover new medicines and treatments. You’ll also get to have fun and learn about your own heart how it works and how to protect it!
Ask for a Hoops For Heart collection envelope from your Physical Education (PE) teacher. Turn in your permission slip to jump and raise money!
