705 E Pete Rose Way,
Join us at Yeatman’s Cove on October 14 and help us ignite a health revolution in our community that will create awareness for stroke and heart disease.
The fun centers around the CycleNation Take Over event of 75 stationary bikes led by high-energy and entertaining CycleBar Instructors. The afternoon will be hosted by WCPO’s Chris Riva with pro cyclist Team Rally’s Brad Huff to help with the fun. The day's format will be as follows:
Teams of 4 will ride for 30 minutes each with entertainment and education during the transitions. Rides begin at the start of the hour with each one of your riders taking one of the four sessions on the same bike.
We HIGHLY encourage getting spirited with your team wear!
We are looking forward to this main event raising the much needed funds to continue the good work and fight the good fight for a better, healthier community. The rest of the festival is free and open to the public:
REI instructors partnering with other cycling community partner organizations to teach classes and help our community learn about what other types of cycling are available to them. Topics include:
How to fix a flat and other minor bike maintenance
Cyclocross what is that?! And other off road cycling options
Bike commuting in our city safely
Competitive cycling in our area
Healthy Food Trucks for your lunch or mid-day snacking
UCHealth’s Stroke Relay: Ride Red Bikes from station tostation learning about F.A.S.T. in a fun way. Everyone who completes the relay will be entered into a chance to win a pair of Oakley sunglasses. Don’t worry, the stations are a cornhole toss away from each other so this will not require an experienced rider to enjoy it!
And the whole reason we are doing this? To educate ourcommunity on the life-threatening signs and symptoms of stroke. Come learn what F.A.S.T. means, hear from stroke survivors and learn about better heart and brain health.
