Please support me in raising funds for the American Heart Association

On March 2 of last year I had a heart attack after running Buffalo's Shamrock Run.

I am a generally healthy person, but a family history of heart disease most likely played a a role in this event.

At my most recent cardiologist appointment, the doctor asked me a number of questions about my activity leading up to the race, including what I ate the night before, what I did the night before, etc. He asked these questions because they are continually trying to find out more about heart health, and the causes of heart attacks and heart disease.

I had been asked and, yes, I did run the Shamrock Run this year, and felt great doing it.

As part of this year's run I have also been fundraising to support the American Heart Association, and its mission of "Building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke..."

I ask that you pledge what you can to support me in this event, whether it's $5, $10, $20, $50 or more, every gift will go directly to the Heart Association

I am doing this as part of the FUNraise for Heart, FUNraise for Stroke  in support of the American Heart & Stroke Association.

Please help me reach my goal by supporting my fundraising efforts with a donation today. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of many! It is faster and easier than ever to support the fight against heart disease and stroke - America's No. 1 and No. 4 causes of death. You can make your donation online by clicking the donation link.

Thank you to all who have supported my efforts.
